Chuck Baker is the worst teacher there, doesn’t care about his students, doesn’t do his job or even the bare minimum, thinks providing any assistance to his students is “unfair”. Taking a break from the college because his class was that bad
School also recently raised there prices regardless of not teaching me anything I didn’t already know in 2 years. They only teach common sense.
Other then these 2 flaws the school it’s self is nice if you just want the degree, it’s a beautiful school, if you want to learn anything or expect the teachers to do their job it’s too much of a mixed bag.
I went here from fresh out of high school from 2016-2019 and graduated there with my associates. Such a Beautiful campus and I had a very great experience at DCCC, I’ve had some pretty good professors during my time there although some did seem to only be there for a check. During my time here I was also in the KEYS program and they have such wonderful staff very helpful and friendly. They have a nice library and the food in the cafeteria is really good too.
I went to Delaware County Community College part time for four years after high school. It's one of the best decisions I ever made. I really didn't know what I wanted to do right out of high school and I didn't want to go to a super expensive university and still not be sure. I started out with general studies. I just finished my Liberal Arts associate's degree there this past spring. I enjoyed my time at this school. I got to take a lot of different classes to really figure out what I like and what I dislike, and it's way more affordable to do that here. The campus is beautiful, especially the STEM center. There's lots of helpful services and the professors I had were great. I'm now transfering to another school to study graphic design and I feel like DCCC helped me get on the right track. I would highly recommend this school to everyone!
I have never met a group of people more dedicated to helping you succeed at what ever you choose to pursue with them. The options for getting started and staying motivated, are much more plentiful here than at some other colleges.
DCCC is a great community college system. I only have experience at the Marple branch so far. Frankly for a CC IMO the facilities are top notch from the food, cafeteria, library and various classrooms and fitness centers. Everything seems brand spanking new. More importantly to a single man, off of just one day, literally everyone I interacted with was great. The staff is wonderful.
I attended DCCC part time from 2012 to 2018. Let me say that my experience was awesome......It really depends how serious a student is about high achievement. My journey began after 30 years out of school, meaning I started from square one. I got straight A's in all my classes, on the presidents list and Phi Theta Kappa every semester. I was an award winning peer tutor teaching 5 levels of math, Microsoft Office, and several programming languages. I say this to encourage others. I never thought this was possible. If you believe in yourself, you can do anything....Thanks to God and DCCC
Review edit: After being contacted by the VP of recruitment and enrollment, I was able to successfully get my issue resolved. The road to having the issue finally come to a resolution was a bit bumpy, but it overall worked out in the end. The entire process was also professionally conducted and taken care of relatively quick, so I no longer have much to complain about anymore.
Great place with console, teachers and advisors who really care about your success and assist you in every way possible! Thanks!
